Semester Wrap Up

Wow this fall semester flew by! It's already that time for winter break. That means that this week is finals week. I have actually already finished all of my finals so I am free the rest of the week. I just have to wait for my sister to take her last final on Friday and then we are home bound. While she is studying I will be cleaning my room and preparing for the trip home. I have books that I have to get post marked by Friday, I have to do laundry (it's free at school so I don't want to have to do it when I get home), and I have yet to pack. Then once all that is done I have to pack up my car so that we can skidaddle when my sister is done.

I really wish that I had my camera up here. My sister and I started sketching out some vlog ideas so that I have this platform and then a more visual platform as well. My sister is really funny when she's recalling stories and ranting so I told her she might as well share them with other people. She makes a lot of us laugh at school and she has loads of interesting stories, her only weakness is that she's initially reserved so she is hesitant about filming them.

I am beyond excited to go home. I can't wait to spend time with my family and some of my friends from home. I also love Christmas, my family has an annual Christmas Eve party and it's usually the highlight of my year. You cant beat the love, laughter, and memories you make with loved ones during the holidays. But that's just the check in from me. I probably wont post until I am home and when I have more to talk about with Christmas gifts, Christmas Eve, and Christmas itself!

Absentee Apology

Is it too late now to say sorry?

Although, like the rest of the world, I myself have some sort of Bieber fever I just want to apologize to any of the blog viewers who have been waiting for any kind of posts. I know that when my favorite vloggers (aka Casey Holmes, Laura Lee, Jaclyn Hill, and Kathleen Lights) don't post when they usually do I'm like ahhh what is happening.

It's been crazy busy since the last time I posted. I was traveling and at home over thanksgiving break. We had a nice five days off from school and sports life. Even though it was considered break, I had a tight schedule with balancing family, boyfriend, friends back home, holiday nonsense, and school work due immediately after break. I was able to manage everything, yes of course with some grumbling from the peanut gallery.

Some quick updates for you. I started and are close to being done with Christmas shopping for people, black Friday was super successful. I have decorations up for Christmas in the dorm room. However my room has been fairly messy since I have been busy since coming back from break. The new decorations mean a new door, probably my favorite door yet. Finals week is the end of this week into next week so that's the primary focus coming up for me. Then home for winter break for five weeks, which is much needed and anticipated for me.

But bare with me, subscribe by email and get notified when I post so you'll know when to check back but I will have new stuff up for you all shortly.

Active Saturday

Busy B

At Pace there is plenty to do today. It might be chilly outside, but that's not keeping the life here on campus from heating up. Today our Men and Women's Basketball teams play a double header against Le Moyne. Women's starts at 1:30 and Men's at 3:30. Also during the game to day Pace is recognizing our troops, as today is Military Appreciation day at Goldstein Fitness Center. In addition to basketball, Men and Women's Swimming and Diving compete in a three way day against St. Peter's and Rowan College at 2:30, so athletics is jam-packed.
(I do not own the rights to this photo. This photo is property of Pace University, and the athletics department.)

If athletics weren't your style than there is an opportunity to help support the Maria Fareri' Children's Hospital of Westchester, in Pace 4 Kids Dance Marathon. The dance marathon goes from 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. and there is more to do than just dance all evening. Luckily for us students we were able to  preregister and build teams. I am captain of a P4K with our field hockey team. Other athletic teams will be there as well as fraternities, sororities, regular student teams, and commuter teams. This event is also available to our community and any at the door for $20. All proceeds go toward Maria Fareri's Chilren's Miracle Network. I'm looking forward to all the events they are offering as well as seeing Pace raise this year's donation goal.

Sunday Shenanigans

Sunday morning festivities

Most of us enjoy the chance to sleep in on the weekends, especially any of us in the "lazy college student" category. But not this girl. This morning, I found myself in the middle of a struggle between my bed sheets, keeping a firm hold of me, and my body, telling me it was ready to get moving. Talk about my luck. Regardless, I started my morning at about 8:30a.m. I woke up and did the usual waking up routine, ate the breakfast of champions (a cookies and cream poptart and a glass of milk),  and painted my nails (Essie Shearling Darling).  What now, was the next question I had to ask myself.

"Sunday Funday" or so they say, right? Well for me my fun comes in the form of a freshly brewed caramel K cup,  Netflix original movies, and finishing up any homework for the upcoming week. Luckily for me, I did a little bit of homework Friday so today's work load is a little less taxing. When I wrap up the homework I'm working on, I will most likely tidy up my room and put up a few more decorations, that I recently bought at Target. I will add before and after tidy pictures to my "Home Living" category, so feel free to check that out later today.

That's all for now folks, stay tuned
